What does “offset a month” actually mean?
Everything you do — driving, heating your home, the food you eat — releases carbon dioxide (CO₂), the main gas warming the planet. The average American releases about a ton a month. When you offset a month, we pay a verified project to cut one ton of CO₂ that would otherwise have happened, and retire that credit in your name.
Is this real, or just a nice certificate?
Real. Every ton comes from a project checked by an independent standard, and the credit is permanently retired so nobody can sell it again. Your certificate has an ID anyone can check on our registry.
